Mayor Chu envisions more public children’s day-care centers help more citizens

 

New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu during his inspection at Xinzhuang Children’s Day Care Center on January 16th said that New Taipei City Government will finish establishing a fourth children’s day-care center at Benqiao before Chinese New Year and another 8 day-care centers in 2012. The cheap and high-quality children’s day care service is soon to be widely accessible throughout New Taipei City, bringing more convenience to the citizens.

 

Ms. Jiang, Secretary of the New Taipei City Child Care Union, said Xinzhuang Children’s Day Care Center is conveniently located near Xinzhuang Elementary School and Taipei Metro Touqianzhuang Station; the three-stored facility hosts services such as professional babysitting, parenting consulting, separate age group child cares, child education, children’s play ground, and story-telling.

 

The Department of Social Welfare said the public children’s day-care centers will provide day-care services for children less than 2-year-old with the condition that the children must be under a registered household in New Taipei City; children between 2 to 3 years of age can continue using the day-care service if they can not attend other day-care facilities due to reasons such as staggered semesters, etc. The open hours are from 7:30am to 6:00pm on weekdays with payment contingent on extended hours until 9:00pm by request; Open hours on weekends are from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
