100,000 dragon lanterns will be given out for free from February 1st to 5th

100,000 dragon lanterns will be available for free at 29 district offices in New Taipei City from February 1st to 5th. Everyone is available for one only on the first-come, first- served basis.

 

According to the chair of Citizen Welfare Office Chen Jachin, every citizen is welcome to get the free lantern at the nearest district offices, and because this year’s Chinese Lantern Festival falls on a Monday, which is also a working day for most people; the first 50,000 lanterns will be available from Wednesday (February 1st) 7pm with the rest 50,000 from 9am on the 5th.

 

The specially-made lanterns will be available at Bali Zhu Shore in Bali District of New Taipei City at 5:30pm on February 4th, Senchen Temple in Shenshi District from 6pm on February 6th, and finally Zennan Temple at 5:30pm on February 1st and district office both in Shulin District at 9am on February 5th.
