2012 Bafangyunji charity marathon is now open for application

Officials of 2012 Bafangyunji charity marathon today held a promotion press conference at New Taipei City Government. Chairman of the Board of Bafangyunji Corporation, Lin Jiayu said all application fees would be donated to charity, and he would like to invite everyone, especially those with physical or mental disabilities, to go outdoors and exercise.

Mayor of New Taipei City, Eric Chu said he would like to thank Mr. Lin and his wife for holding the charity marathon in New Taipei City. The marathon this year would be run along the Provincial Highway No.69, and to encourage participation, every participant would be given a free bag of soy milk. Because Provincial Highway No.69 is still not yet open to traffic, Mayor Chu humorously said that participants could help inspect the quality of the highway.

Commissioner of Education Department, Lin Tengjiao said the marathon is now open for application and scheduled to start on November 25th. The marathon route would start from Banqiao Citizen Square, connect through county-level roads to Provincial Highway No.69 and return to Banqiao Citizen Saqure from Wugu.

A raffling competition and various other games would be organized on the day of marathon. Prizes include tablet computers and popular brand sportswear. New Taipei City Government would like to invite you to join the fun.
