Mayor Chu presents the Outstanding Teacher Awards
To recognize and celebrate the contribution to education by outstanding school teaching staff, New Taipei City Government today held the award ceremony for 2012 Outstanding Teacher Awards. New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu was at the ceremony to present awards to winners.
At the ceremony, Mayor Chu acknowledged the excellent achievement by every outstanding teacher and thanked them for their contribution in cultivating our next generation. He wished all teaching staff could keep up the hard work and make our country more competitive in the world
According to Education Department, this year’s awardees included 36 outstanding teachers and 14 groups of outstanding school teaching staff. 8 Out of the 36 Outstanding Teacher Award winners were chosen to win the Excellence in Teaching Awards; on the other side, out of all 14 groups, teaching staffs of Youmu Elementary School, Shuangxi Elementary School and Xinpu Junior High School won the Golden Quality Education Award and two Silver Quality Education Awards respectively.
