The 2013 NTPC joint wedding holds in Pacific Green Bay

 New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu was hosting the 2013 NTPC Joint Wedding where 66 couples gathered to get married at Pacific Green Bay in June 9

Chu indicated that people are willing to sign up for joint weddings because of the following three reasons; firstly, couples who joined the joint wedding turned out to have the high rate of giving birht to a baby; furthermore, couples who join the joint wedding lived a life with more happiness; finally, every groom who join the joint wedding turned out to be a great husband.

Chu also requested the 66 couples to kiss for 66 seconds, which making the crowd excited. In addition, two mother-to-bes also join the joint wedding, and both moms received a marriage certificate by the mayor.

This year’s joint wedding goes with ocean style, so it’s not surprised to find out nine couples dressed in bikini wedding dress for the wedding; other couples also had some creative ideas for their wedding, including wearing the straw hats together, wearing flip-flops instead of high-heel shoes, and even bring their baby pets to the wedding.


The Civil Affairs, organizer of the joint wedding noted that each newly-wed couple would receive several gifts, including an accommodation gift voucher from the hotel, a rice dumpling, and a ticket for canoe experience tour. Moreover, if the newly-wed couple has a baby in six months, the government will provide a NT$80,000 Postpartum Nursing Home for ten-day and a NT$78,000 umbilical cord blood service.
