Chu presides over groundbreaking of Jinhe Police and Zhonghe Revenue Service Co-op

The building for the Jinhe Station of the Second Division of the Police Department and Ministry of Finance’s Zhonghe Revenue Service of the National Taxation Bureau of the Northern Area had its groundbreaking ceremony today. New Taipei City mayor Chu Liluan presided over the ceremony. The mayor congratulated the police and the tax bureau staff on having their own office space by the end of next year (2016).

Chu Liluan pointed out that the police station will not only help maintain local security, but it will also be a service center for citizens. This co-op building is located on the 171 Lane of Liancheng Road in the Anbang Park of Zhenghe District. The building has two basement floors and seven above ground floors. When construction completes by the end of next year, both Jinghe Police Station and Zhonghe Revenue Service of the National Taxation Bureau will have their own office spaces. The city will also coordinate with the Ministry of Finance to provide public spaces for local residents.

The Police Department reports that since the establishment of Second Division’s Zhonghe Police Station, the department has been renting private office space; the situation has created inconvenience. Furthermore, due to the needs of maintaining public security and transportation, and serving the residents, the department and the Ministry of Finance coordinated to design this co-op building. The period of construction is from the groundbreaking until the end of December of 2016, totaling 650 working days.
