Christmas Charity Carnival has its income donated to World Vision Taiwan

New Taipei City Government and Change Life Church held the Christmas Charity Carnival in New Taipei City Plaza today (12/4). Mayor Chu beat the gong with the chairman of Word Vision Taiwan and the pastor of Change Life Church, symbolizing the start of today’s event.

Mayor Chu said Christmas is not only a religious holiday but also a day for family reunion and a good time for a praying for peace and joy. He was looking forward to people attending a series of Christmas events hosted by the New Taipei City Government, starting from Dec. 16th, to keep up a lively atmosphere for the Christmas season.

 

 

Seeing parents bring their children to the charity event, Mayor Chu praised that it is a noble and joyful thing to give charity, and he believes that Change Life Church can transmit their love to people. Change Life Church has been celebrating Christmas with charity and helping foreign and domestic children who are in need of help since 2009.

New Taipei City Plaza was bustling with people attending today’s Christmas Charity Carnival. In addition to charity sales and a flea market, the carnival also had more than 40 booths and a stage. Today’s stage program includes group performances by Heavenly Melody and Glory Star Children’s Chorus and performances by artists A-Lin, Jing Chang, and Emi Lee. The event has been very successful and lasted until 4:00 p.m.
