Cherry blossoms ready to be appreciated in Toushen District, New Taipei City
Newly- blossomed cherry trees are ready to give visitors a pleasant surprise in Toushen District, New Taipei City. Toushen is known for several of its mountains and beautiful flowers in spring where brightly-colored pink cherry blossoms dot the green mountain top as if they were welcoming the future visitors for a nice treat.
Toushen has always been a popular tourist destination for its great views; it also attracts crowds to take pictures of its lesser-known areas in which several bell-shaped flowers and delicate cherry blossoms abound, which always gives people an unforgettable memory.
According to Toushen District Office, cherry blossoms season will be over in ten days and citizens are encouraged to grab the chance this week. Other than Toushen, other places such as Taichi Hill is also a perfect location for the “May Day Snow.” Since the raining season is around the corner, elderly and children are not encouraged to go alone; people are also advised to go with company in mountain-climbing shoes.
TaiChi Hill can be reached from Chuwun Rd. and then turn Shemen Rd. in Toushen, and connected by Shenzen Lake track; or go from No. 68 or 70 exit. Free bus is also available on the weekends from the Toushen MRT Station. More information please log on to Toushen District Office.
