Deputy Mayor Hou expresses the appreciation to childcare service providers.

 “The Award Ceremony of 2015 Childcare centers and Providers” was conducted on November 28. Deputy Mayor Hou attended this ceremony. He expressed the gratitude to those who make lots efforts for childcare and really appreciated them for the great support.

 

Currently there are 40 public childcare centers in New Taipei City. Deputy Mayor Hou indicated that New Taipei City has connected with public / private daycare centers, community babysitters and nursing system and aims to build a complete friendly childcare system. He said nannies and baby-sitters not only possess compassion and patience, but also being under the pressure of taking care of children. He praised them for playing the important roles of looking after children and strengthening family care.

 

Social Welfare Department reported that for the purpose of promoting parent-child book-reading, New Taipei City cooperates with Hsin-Yi Foundation to run a book fair named “The baby’s growing house”. The book fair was sited at the 3rd floor of New Taipei City Library during November 28 to December 6. It provides seven different categories of story books which are suitable for parent-child reading and interaction.

 

 

To enforce and create the better childcare system, Social Welfare Department encouraged all service providers to improve the quality of childcare and keep dedicating for children and youth together. It is hoped that through cooperation with non-governmental organizations and individuals, we could enhance the quality of childcare system.
