Mayor Chu attended inauguration ceremony for Sakura Bay Hotel

New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu  attended the inauguration ceremony for Sakura Bay Hotel. During his speech he promised that New Taipei City Government will utilize the advantage of thirty-plus fish harbors to help the five major fishermen’s associations in New Taipei City develop their own distinguishing features, further promoting New Taipei City’s high-quality fishery products and tourism attractions to the whole state and even the world.

 

“I am happy to see the first harbor-side hot spring hotel in Taiwan finally completed,” said Mayor Chu. He explained that Sakura Bay Hotel not only integrates fisheries as part of its attractions but also help to promote local tourism. He encouraged people to come to this place to host events and enjoy seafood and hot springs.

 

After the inauguration ceremony, Mayor Chu inspected the hotel rooms and praised the hotel’s submarine hot springs and the seascape outside the window.

 

Sakura Bay Hotel locates inside Huanggang Fish Harbor. Its total cost amounts to 130 million with 25 million funded by New Taipei City and 66 million funded by Fisheries Agency, Council of Agriculture. The hotel owns a nearly pH neutral hot spring, 51 guest rooms, and a spa area. Every hotel room is facing sea for customers to enjoy the Jishan seascape. The hotel also has a conference auditorium for public and private groups to host seminars and training sessions. Daily caught seafoods are abundant with inexpensive prices.
