Mayor Chu promises more positions for public servants in the future

New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu is being asked by the DPP councilmen about the lack of human resources such as the policemen, social workers, and garbage collectors in the city; where he responds with a promise that new plans will be considered with better performance in the future.

 

Mayor Chu also adds that the new plans addressing these issues will be implemented in the next four years as the city had just undergone an upgrade two years ago. More electrical machines are also being used to meet the needs if it is necessary.

 


In addition, some councilmen also highlight the fact that more children have fallen into victims of campus bullying for the last year, making public social workers necessary as a result. Mayor Chu responds by saying that it is expected to hire 314 new social workers in the future to lessen the social burdens with appropriate changes at the same time.

 

Finally, regarding the policemen’s bonus program, Mayor Chu also notes that more activities will be held to encourage more policemen to stay in New Taipei City such as financial reimbursement program and more complimentary dormitories in the future. On the other hand, more young college graduates are also encouraged to become policemen to meet the needs for out country.
