2012 New Taipei City Art Seminar kicks off in August
The 2012 New Taipei City Art Seminar is held on the 32 floor of New Taipei City Hall. Sponsored by Information Bureau of New Taipei City Government, this year’s event is based on citizens themselves and beautiful views in the city. Several celebrated speakers are also invited to grace the event such as Wang Wenyan, Huang Shenyuan, and Shiao Guoquan.
Shiao also proposes his concept of “developing skyline” where he takes Canada, Seattle, and Shiaghi for examples to highlight their beauty and uniqueness. In his opinion, New Taipei City should do the same and develop its own specialty like other metropolitans around the world.
In addition, Chief of Information Bureau Lin Geyo expresses that he is touched by the idea of “going home” because it’s like how all citizens in 29 districts can be united in New Taipei City along with other people working hard for the government. Therefore, he agrees with the idea that a new skyline should be highlighted in the city to link more beautiful views in each district.
