Xinin Bridge connects Yinga Dictrict to the world

The newly launched Xinin Bridge, from Mayor Chu’s plan, is going to connect Yinga District in New Taipei City with other metropolitans around the world and turn it into an international pottery town in Taiwan.

At the 2012 International Community Award held by New Taipei City Government, Mayor Chu rides his bike with other citizens across Xinin Bridge while there’s also a mini helicopter used to film this historic moment.

According to City and Community Bureau, the new Xinin Bridge is 300 meters in length and designed based on a long and narrow hollow space, which resembles a snake after completion. The steel and mild ramp used to construct to bridge are also aimed at ensuring scooter riders and car drivers’ safety in the future, connecting both Wahua Rd. and Guanchen Rd. with more convenience.

It is also hoped that the Tourist Walking Area can be linked to the bridge, which makes it easier for visitors to go to Shanin Art Shop, Yinga Pottery Museum, and Yinga Geshanpu Old Street. Moreover, Xinin Bridge also resembles a Chinese dragon when it is lightened up in the evening, making it another landmark for couples to date in the future.
