After succeeding popularizing Wanli crabs, Mayor Chu eyes on tourism

After Wanli crabs widely received positive feedbacks from the public, Mayor Chu today at the city administration conference complimented the city government team for their effort in popularizing Wanli crabs. He then revealed that Wanli crabs are only just a start of his plan for marketing tourism along northshore Taiwan.

Mayor Chu said the city government should ride on the success of Wanli crabs to further promote tourism in Jinshan and Shimen area. He ordered Agriculture Department, Economic Development Department, and Transportation Department to timely coordinate a plan for marketing tourism along the northshore, which could not only provide a great recreation place for citizens but also stimulate local economy.

According to Commissioner of Economic Development Department, many tourists that came to Wanli for eating Wanli crabs were Japanese and Koreans; therefore, to make Wanli a much more foreigner-friendly place, the government would assist the local stores in making English, Japanese, and Korean signs and menu.
