The Happiness 101 blind date event

The Happiness 101, a blind date event hosted by the Labor Affairs Department of New Taipei City, took place on November 4th, 2012 at the Shu’s Pottery tourism factory. 71 labors recreated the pottery wheel scene in the movie Ghost to get closer to each other, and they hoped to form potential romantic relationships by participating in afternoon games.

The director of Labor Affairs Department Xie Zhengda said that the department had been hosting several blind date events for single labors in the past, and this was the 4th time of the year, which happened in Yingge District.

68 percent of single women were between 27 and 35 years old, and 85 percent of single men were between the age of 30 and 40. Most of the participants were in the manufacturing, IT, and finance industry with college degrees. Xie encouraged all single workers to find their life companions soon.

Officials said that the series of 2012 labors’ blind dates had finished. These events took place in Linkou, Sanxia, Pingxi, and Yingge District this year. Participants not only played a part in blind date activities, but also enjoyed beautiful landscape and local culture. With all the efforts that the officials have put in this year, the blind date activities drew a perfect ending with a substantial achievement.
