2012 World Ladies Masters held in Linkou Miramar Golf Country Club

 New Taipei City government and the Swinging Skirts work together to hold the 2012 World Ladies Masters event on December 5. Mayor Eric Chu said that the golf competition would definitely become one of the Olympic competitions in the future, and it would be a great opportunity for Taiwan to win the medals. People would be excited to see this year""s Masters event; not only it was held for the second time, but also it had become part of the Korean Open and Taiwan Open.

Sports Office indicated that the event would be held in Linkou Miramar Golf Country Club and began on 6th of December and ended on 9th. The Celebrity Charity Skins Games would start first, including the Taiwan- Hong Kong celebrity, World Champion and Four Major Champion teams. Half of the prizes from the Skins Game winners would be donated to the charities.

The Maters gathered many top professional players in Taiwan, such as Hong Yanyu, Lu Xiaoqing, Wei Yunjie and Yao Xuanyu, and world""s top fifteen players in LPGA included Yani Tseng, Annika Sorenstam, Na Yeon Choi, Puala Creamer, Jiyai Shin, So Yeon Ryu, Caroline Masson, Suzann Pettersen, Christie Kerrd, Sun Young Yoo and Pak Se Ri.

Chu presented the sky lantern cup and the book, "Seeing New Taipei, Seeing Taiwan" to welcome the players: Yani Tseng, Sorenstam, Puala and Na Yeon Choi in Miramar Golf Country Club.

In addition, Chu and president of the event, Jiang Bingkun were glad to open the ceremony even with the bad weather. Chairman Wang Zhengsong indicated that he believed the World Ladies Masters will be held continuously every year, and he welcomed more top players to join the competition in New Taipei City.
