New Taipei City awarded 80 high quality restaurants
2012 New Taipei City High Quality Restaurants Selection was held on January 10. 80 restaurants were named as High Quality Restaurants presented by New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu, and he hoped the selection on the restaurants could impress the tourists.
Chefs form different restaurants were cooking with creative ideas, and make a simple ingredient turn into a delicious dish.
Xu Xiang-hong, Chairman of New Taipei Culinary Commercial indicated that the selection event will not only make the food in New Taipei walk into the international stage, but also bring a great boost for the tourism business. In addition, the event was combined by different resources from several industries, city government and scholars.
One of the High Quality Restaurants, Tich Garden, was located in Jinshan District. The manager of the Tich Garden Guo Li- hui indicated that she was born in Jinshan, and had been traveling around forty to fifty different countries with her husband. By the time the couple retired, Guo and her husband decided to move back to Jinshan and opened a restaurant by only using the no pesticide ingredients.
2012 New Taipei City High Quality Restaurants Selection selected 80 restaurants out of 150, and separated these high quality restaurants into four different themes, each themes provided full introduction on the menu, so that the citizens could find the suitable place for a meal easily.
