A public memorial is set for firefighter Huang Yulong
Huang Yulong, the member of the 1st District HQs, Haishan Station died during the duty of the firefighting in Wugu Mingyang Frozen Food Factory on February 12, 2013. NTPC government praised the man’s heroic sacrifice, and held a grand funeral in Banqiao Funeral Parlor. President of the Legislative Yuan Wang Jin-pyng, NTPC Mayor Eric Chu, and several legislators and city councilors all showed up with respect.
In addition, the Fire Department from other cities and counties had sent their crews to attend the funeral. President Ma awarded the medal and promotion orders for Huang.
Director of the Fire Department Huang Deqing had a speech for the loss of this great man, “Huang was a humble and nice person, he always willing to help the others, and completed several rescues with us. He rescued the people when the collapsing of the Suhua Highway, he evacuated the patients when the fire disaster occurred in the Far Eastern Memorial Hospital. Me and other crews were all honored to work with this wonderful man.”
