Taiwan Open Lions Cup opens in Xinzhuang Stadium

 The opening of the 15th Taiwan Open Lions Cup was held at Xinzhuang Stadium on March 14. The Open will start from March 14 to 17; players from other countries, including Japan, Korea, Thailand, USA, Indonesia, Malaysia all gathered to face the competition.

NTPC Mayor Eric Chu welcomed the players during the opening speech, and he was appreciated the assistance by the District 300-A2 Lions Clubs International.

Chu indicated that people would see the players’ efforts during the game, and he expected the clubs would hold the game in NTPC next year.

The Taiwan Open Lions Cup was known as the Wimbledon in Wheelchair Tennis. The Department of Education hoped that the Taiwanese player
Lu Jiayi and Wu Yishan could win more games of the point race.

In addition, the event had held a special activity for kid journalists from Xinzhuang Elementary School, in order to interview the players and learn their perseverance on life.
