The New-opened Baseball Courses begin at Xintai Junior High School
New Taipei City Eric Chu attended the event of the new-opened baseball courses “Chasing of Baseball Dreams” in Xintai Junior High School on April 8. NTPC government not only appreciated the support from Hua Nan Financial Holdings (HNFH), but also invited baseball stars Chang Tai-shan and Huang Haoran to share the baseball technics and experiences with the young players.
Chu indicated that the HNFH had been supporting baseball since 2007, by promoting “A Dream of Baseball” project. This year the project has spread to the school yard, inviting some baseball stars to teach the young players, and hoping to light up their baseball dreams.
More recently, schools in NTPC now had nine Little League Teams, four Teen League Teams, and four Youth Baseball Teams. Chu planned to add more baseball societies into school yards and communities, hoping that the passion of baseball will continued.
In addition, Educational Department indicated that Xintai Junior High was the first stop of the baseball courses, and it was expected to run five more. Xintai had developed the baseball team for over 19 years; now the team had 70 players, and one fourth player is the amis clan, coached by the former baseball player Xiao Renwen.
