The Japanese Hokkaido Goodwill Members visiting New Taipei City

 To increase the culture exchanges between Taiwan and Japan, New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu welcomed the Japanese Hokkaido Goodwill Members at the VIP Room which is located in the city hall on April 16.

Chu noted that NTPC government has been keeping contact with Hokkaido in the past few years, and Chu hoped to build up a much more intimate relationship between the two cities.

Chu indicated that Hokkaido is famous for its aboriginal, fishing and tourism industry, and speaking of Hokkaido’s tourism business, most of the tourist came from Taiwan, and Chu wished that the two cities could build their relationship based on the tourism industry.

Wada Noritomo, the Chairman of the Goodwill Members of Hokkaido said that he appreciated the donation from the NTPC government after the 3.11 Earthquake occurred, and He shared the same view with Chu, which is to build an intimate relationship between the two cities.

In addition, the Japan-Taiwan Goodwill Members was established in March, 2013; seventeen members including the Chairman are visiting Taiwan from April 15 to 18.
