NTPC government acquires three rehabuses

 The 2nd Section of Taiwan District of Klwanis International (TDKI) donated three rehabuses to New Taipei City (NTPC) government on April 20, in order to serve the elderly and disabled.

Chu indicated that NTPC has more than 340,000 elderly and 149,000 disabled citizens, so that the current rehabuses (249 vehicles) were totally not enough. Chu appreciated that the TDKI donated three rehabuses to the government, and he wished for more kind-hearted people to participate the donation.

Chairman of the 2nd Section, Liu Chen Yuqin noted that 60 units of the Section had donated the total of 3,000,000NTD, and she wished that the money can assist more and more elderly and disabled.

In addition, Li Alu, a 98 years old elder along with his daughter arrived at the donation event, and Mayor Chu praised the old gentlemen on donating 100,000NTD to the elderly and disabled.

Commissioner of the Social Welfare Department Li Lizun mentioned that the 2nd Section of the TDKI had donated one rehabus and 185 wheelchairs in June, 2009.
