NTPC Mayor Chu sharing his outlook on life to the graduate students

 With the arrival of the graduation season, New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu visited Tamkang University (TKU) and Aletheia University (AU) to share his outlook on life to the graduates. Chu also encouraged the graduates to require not only an international outlook, but also the courage to accept challenges.

Chu first attended to AU for speech. The Aletheia University was once known as Oxford College in 1872, it was the first western school built in Taiwan. The graduation ceremony was opened with the solemn atmosphere by Pastor Wang Rongchang’s prayers.

Chu started the speech with the “300, Outlook on Life”, encouraging the graduates to focus on three things after they graduate, including making 100 good friends, readings 100 books, and the most important of all, been to 100 places around the world, and broaden the young people’s horizons.

Chu then participated in the graduation ceremony in TKU. He noted that Tamkang is the school full of international outlook, and each graduates not only played a huge role in all walks of life, but also succeed in several places in other countries.

In addition, student Li Chenghe, who graduated from Department of Architecture, was awarded as the outstanding graduates by the principal; due to the great performance on his final project, which was helping a 93 years old grandma to rebuild her old house into a livable place. Li gathered friends, teachers and families to overcome the insufficient budget, and the act of helping others had been all around the news.
