New Taipei City business district festival kicks off! - to eat, drink and win
New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu launched the “2013 New Taipei City business district festival” on September 27, inviting people from everywhere to the festival and have fun! New Taipei City Economic Development Department mentioned that this event combining with shopping district activities and cultural activities was projected to bring about NT$1.5 billion business for the city’s local merchants.
Economic Development Department pointed out that the shopping festival last year successfully created over NT$1.1 billion business. In this year, the specific combination of the shopping festival and the Halloween event was estimated to yield another NT$1.5 billion business, which would increase the city’s local merchants’ business at least 20 percent.
The Department also indicated that people would have a chance to win a one-million-dollar SUV with a purchase of at least NT$500 and a registration of the receipt number on the website of “Enjoy Shopping in New Taipei City” during the festival month. There would be free tasting of local delicious food for limited time and many DIY experience activities in every business district. Everyone was welcome to attend this grand festival for fun!
