Mayor Appealed to Staff to Serve Together with Attitude Adjustment
New Taipei City Mayor Erik Chu was questioned at the congress today by KMT congressmen (11/7). He repeatedly emphasized the idea of uniformed government abandoning the system of multi level governing. “The uniformed government system will bring peace, health and joy to the citizen.” The KMT congressmen questioned Mayor Chu’s accomplishment after 10 months in office. The “seamless transition” that everyone wanted needs time and is a work in progress.
Determination is a characteristic of the Mayor. Attitude adjustment of the government is the key to success. He stressed that attitude should be the most important factor, and anyone who is not at the top of their game should be pulled from the position.
Safe in “safe, healthy and joy” means public safety and public security. 6,300 resources were donated by charity to help anyone that is in need. The New Taipei City Municipal Children Care is one of its kinds. 611 Long-term care volunteer also finished their training yesterday.
Medical infrastructures are also an improved area. Increasing staff quotas and salaries will help the public hospitals to serve more patients.
New Taipei City’s public safety measures are the best in the nation. Medial resources will be available for remote areas in the future. Technology defense city is in the progress. Sports and recreation activities are also progressing and a solid example is the MLB All –Star Game that took place in Xinzhuang.
Environmental hygiene is an area that needs improvement. Metro between Xizhi and Minsheng is under planning phase. Other goals regarding roads and highways will be handled by Highway Bureau.
