MRT Xinzhuang Line Should Begin Service Soon

New Taipei City Congress questioned the progress of Metro Xinzhuang line today (11/8). Mayor Eric Chu stated that it will begin service as soon as all safety requirements are met.

Deputy Mayor Si-Chuan Lee attended a test ride last month regarding the engineering process. There is no exact date when the service might begin. The city government hopes it will be immediate after all thorough examinations.

There will be a period of test ride just like Luzhou line when examinations and tests are completed. Feedbacks and suggestions are welcome during that period as this will improve the overall riding experience for all commuters.

Another question was made regarding roads at northern Tamsui. Mayor Chu said that constructions are still contracting and is looking to begin at December. City government is looking for a satisfactory construction so will take each step carefully.
