Happy Sales kick off in New Taipei City

The treasure-digging sales, one of the first shopping months’ activities in New Taipei City, was held from December 17th to 18th at Banchiao Rail Station B1 Plaza. More than 30 companies were invited to give citizens a chance to shop with low discounts including lucky draw, free lucky bags for buying $100NTD, and one-dollar sales. New Taipei City Major Eric Chu also showed up and shopped with everyone.

 


According to Mayor Chu, this sale is different from others in various ways because it combines different places such as retailers, department stores, and agriculture department within the government to make it more complete so citizens can have the lowest discount.

 

Mayor Chu also bought several shirts, special heat-up T-shirt, socks, and black beans to show his support for local and traditional businesses. Other city councilors including Meifan Lui and Director of Economic Development Gentin Jen also participated to show their support for some local stands like Yinga Pottery, Jifentia Bakery, and New Taipei City’s Wenshan Tea…etc.

 

In addition, more sales are coming in the next few weeks including the Christmas Shopping Festival on December 24th at Fuzheng District in Banchiao, Happy Chinese New Year “Nain Food” Festival on January 7th, 2012 at New Taipei Plaza where some 50% off food can be found, Year-end Sales from January 13th to 15th at New Taipei City Plaza, and lastly The Year of Dragon Sales from January 10th to 19th at Fuzheng District in Banchiao bringing the festivities to an end.

 

The Economic Development Department also adds that citizens can log on and have a lucky draw with EACH receipt, one for a lucky draw to win, they got within New Taipei City from now to January 15th; 2,500 gifts in total with the top prize being a car worth almost one million dollars.
