More than 11,000 people show up at New Taipei City’s Christmas Party

New Taipei City’s Christmas party, held by New Taipei City Government at New Taipei City Plaza in Banchiao on December 24th and 25th, sees more than 11,000 people show up to celebrate this holiday. The one on the 25th includes a live concert where several celebrities are invited such as Yenjui and pop bands including MP Magic and Chenbian from Taiwan. It also features a creative market where participants get a chance to receive low discounts; many people said it makes them feel excited and relaxed in spite of the cold weather. The top winner of this event is also drawn when a new car i10 is given for free, reaching the climax of this celebration by bringing more people together even though it’s almost the end. Other prizes include an i-Pad flat screen computer, a 32-inch LED TV screen, three digital cameras, and 20 gift certificates worth $1,000NTD…etc. Because of the cold weather, anything that helps people stay warm is the most popular at the sale; among them scarves, delicate and cute dolls, and some embroidery works all sold out within seconds.
